One thing about
Long Island is the beauty of the
Long
Island beaches! The three
beach paintings above were designed so that they
could be enjoyed individually, or as a double, or as an entire set
of three!
Lighthouse beach is to the far right, beyond
which lies Kismet, Saltaire, Fair Harbor, Ocean Beach and many
other Fire Island beach communities. The red
wagons at
Ocean Beach were a pleasure to paint, as well as
the ferries to
Ocean Beach. Each fire island beach community has
its own unique charm. |

When I was a co-owner of an art gallery in
Bellport, Long Island, I spent a great deal of time
painting the
Bellport
area. This particular scene is from
Bellport beach looking north towards long island.
Children love
beaches like these! |

Beach Day |
Solitude can still be found at many Long Island beaches
In fact, from Bellport beach one can sometimes walk three
miles west, and not pass another person, until one gets to Watch Hill. |

Below are three smaller
beach paintings from other Long
Island beaches,
each with their own personality. From one day to the next, the sky and the ocean can present a different color
than the day before…. “Working” at the beach is always enjoyable. |
